there wasn’t a moment in which prayer was not applicable. during the mornings, he often drove around in his prayer mobile, seeking opportunities for prayer. an old woman needed assistance crossing the busy street: he parked the car, then knelt down besides her and prayed. a child and dog stood outside the local market: he lent them his prayer. a customer’s indecisiveness at the coffee counter inspired him to take a knee by the register and recite the lord’s prayer. a man appeared stressed that the subway was late: he approached him to offer his prayer. when the train arrived and they both stepped inside, he raised his hands to the sky and whispered THANK YOU.
