sets. somewhere in california, taken many years ago, when, while living in copenhagen, we realised that we didn’t have to spend every winter there, that there was a better way. would like to wake up to this today. so, in a way, i just did. #latergram (at not Winter in Brooklyn)
one last post from the armory show. i kept coming back to this image, three or four times, until i finally realised that it was taken at año nuevo state park in california, the abandoned houses by the point that are now occupied by seals and elephant seals. i can’t for the life of me remember who photographed this, but it looks like the work of ed panar, though it might possibly be richard misrach as well. don’t know. #latergram #armoryshow2013 #edpanar #richardmisrach (at not SxSW)
work by the nautical enthusiast, duke riley (self-described artist and patriot). nice installation, like an explorer’s club, though very crowded with visitors. adriana recognized his lithographic wood-cut style from riding the subway (his work was part of the arts for transit campaign, and featured mermaid-powered submarines, tugboats, rabbits, mythical creatures). i had no idea that he’s also a tattoo artist (see east river tattoos). #latergram #armoryshow2013 #dukeriley (at The Armory Show)
seas beneath dark skies (last glimpses of a week in montauk). the beach is so cold in winter here. you are losing your memory now. #latergram (Taken with Instagram)
